Why is Gut Health important?
Have you ever tried something to help melt your middle or debloat? You may have several motives for doing so but your digestion is playing a role in that. If your digestion isn't regular then you could be experiencing constant bloating and discomfort. Your pants may feel more snug and you may not be able to full enjoy the foods you are eating.

Bad gut health can lead to things like skin irritations, trouble sleeping, weight gain, energy, food tolerances, and more.
For my c-section Mamas, good gut health is important as you recover from major surgery and want to lose your c-section belly. Just taking the stool softeners your doctor recommends isn't good enough.
So what can you do to improve gut health?
My first recommendation is to take get a probiotic in your diet and make sure you are moving your body each day. A walk can do wonders! As far as a probiotic there are pill/powder forms or you can go more natural and enjoy kombucha, sauerkraut, or yogurt. My favorite is kombucha and I just tried the Blood Orange flavor from GT (SO GOOD!).
The other thing you can start paying attention to is if you are getting enough prebiotics that feeds the good bacteria (probiotics). Some options for this are bananas that aren't too ripe yet, green onions, legumes, oats, garlic, berries, asparagus, and cooked then cooled potatoes. Let me know what one you are going to incorporate first!
